SEND YOUR TEST SCORES TO COLLEGES &UNIVERSITIES

Once you’ve taken the SAT or ACT, the next important step is sending your official test scores to the colleges and universities on your list. Here’s how to make sure your scores arrive on time and in the right place:

✅ 1. Choose Where to Send Scores Early

When you register for the SAT or ACT, you can send your scores to up to four colleges for free. Take advantage of this option—especially if you already know where you’ll be applying.

🕓 2. Know the Deadlines

Each college has its own application and score submission deadlines. Scores must arrive before those dates, so check each school’s admissions website carefully.

🧾 3. Sending Scores After the Test

If you decide later which colleges to apply to, you can still send your scores directly through your College Board (SAT) or ACT account. There may be a small fee for each additional report.

🏫 4. Understand “Test-Optional” Policies

Many schools are now test-optional, meaning you can decide whether to submit scores. If your scores strengthen your application, send them! If not, focus on other parts of your application like essays, grades, and activities.

💡 5. Keep a Record

After sending your scores, save confirmation emails or screenshots from your College Board or ACT account. This helps ensure colleges receive them on time.
